On 26th September 2019 an investiture ceremony was held to honour the newly appointed student council and house captains, and to confer on them the responsibilities of their posts.
The ceremony was held in the school assembly hall which was specially decorated in colours of blue and white, and with spectacular silver baubles that hung from the ceiling. Special guests, Ms Emma Binding, Head of Mount view Primary School, and parents of the soon to be honoured students, were invited.
The ceremony commenced with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by a welcome address by Ms Rekka Mishra, who also introduced special guest, Ms Emma Binding, who was then presented with flowers by two of the students.
Next to hold the floor was Year 10 student, Qurratul-ayn Issa who shared with us an inspiring story about leadership. She encouraged us to think about the difference between a leader and a boss, and dominance and leadership. She finished by imploring all present to find what interests them and what they do well, and to put their whole heart into it.

They received their designations followed by a round of applause from the audience. Ms Binding then led them in the reading of the oath.
Ms Emma then took the stage to share with the awardees and audience alike her vision of leadership. She talked about a shared vision and everybody having something to contribute. She reminded everybody of the importance of gratitude, listening, and of admitting mistakes. She concluded by saying how honoured she was to be there and wished everybody a happy academic year.
